 Reflective Cover letter

 

As I been studding and writing English for five years. There is a big different from

wen I just move to United States and now. The first year I move to the United

States in 2010, I couldn’t speak or write English at all for my first two months.

 Everytime I listened to people during a long conversation or assisted them

writing a long paper like a journal, I asked to myself; “do I would be able to that

one day”? And when that’s going to be? Here the day comes. For my five years,

where I’m able to open any conversation with anybody, I don’t feel embarrass no

more when people’s talking to me. I even able to talk about my life such as: my writing skills, my family, and my career.

I’m choosing to share my first essay which is: how I can describe myself as a writer? The

Way I always feel comfortable to write a piece of paper about my life or something when I have to, I

always feel more comfortable to share my writing  with others. Before I didn’t like to write not only in

English, but I didn’t want to do it at all. After I get my writing skills, learn how to write, know how to get

 people’s attention in my writing I feel like it always a pleasure for me to share my writing with others.

My second essay it about my relation with father: It always a pleasure for me to talk about my

Father all the times and to anyone, because he deserve it .By reading my second essay you will see

what kind of father I have. Is it true people know more about my love for him than he knows,

because the more I tell people how much I love him I always choose to write about him because

there’s a proverb says: the words gone, but the writing stay. One day he will know more how his sacriffice was counted for me.

My third and final essay, it about my career. It’s to share with you the feeling that I have about

having a career and why it is important to have a career in your life. And also to tell people to

not give up their goal for just a job. Some people think when they have a job, they making

money that’s all they need. Nope, this not true. You will see the difference and the consequence

after you lose that job. Knowledge it’s knowledge when you go to school your learn something you get

your Diploma or a bachelor degree it something different. You got more respect and you feel more comfortable in this society.

Finally I realized it’s very nice to have writing as part of your habit. By writing you keep your

mind busy in action which is can help you with your intelligence and also can prevent you from

some mental diseases. I like writing and I can guarantee myself I will be a better writer in the

 future not only to write some paper but some books

                                        How I Can Describe Myself as a Writer

The same I can’t tell when I will stop writing, it’s the same way I can’t tell when I did start to write. To

 become a writer it’s not something impossible but it is not also easy. Because you have to know what

you are going to write about, think about how you are going to write it to make people or whoever’s

going to it understand you. Before writing a paper or a paragraph was a big deal for me because I had

 nothing to write about. When I’m getting older started to realized I have much to write about and more to share. Especially my life what I been though I can even write a book.

Now I even happier because I’m able to write more and more even in different languages. Like

creole, French, and English. Before it was very hard for me to write in English, I thought it was

because I was learning it I might need more vocabularies by that time. Even though I write it a

lot, I said before it was hard for me to write in English not because now I’m perfect but there is a big

 difference, I’m getting better. Now I’m able to write up to three pages not perfectly fine, but whoever’s the reader will be able to get the idea or to understand what I’m writing about.

I remember when I first entered to Housatonic my advisor asked me to write a paragraph about

Alcohol I will never forget that I couldn’t write it. Because I couldn’t write in English, and also I

didn’t like to write either. I started to like to write after my last two ESL classes where I had a

good teacher who was very patient and helpful. Since that I like to writing, sometimes, when I’m thinking I feel like I write more than I speak.

I considered writing is a part of my routine even I’m not a writer because I don’t write any book

yet but, for much I have to write about and the way I  write a lot almost all the times, I think I have much to write a book.

                                                                            Why Toyota Cars Are Better.

Everybody has a preference in something. It can be anything like: car, place, or house etc... They go/ choose by quality, size or color for some people it doesn't matter they just go with their desire. For example Cars there is so many cars around different makes and models. It hard to find everybody with the same car, it can be same make but different model.

I remember when I was looking to buy my first car, I didn't know what to buy because I was

afraid to not buy anything. By asking friends and family members,

everyone told me to buy either Toyota, Nissan or Honda. But the best one it's Toyota. When I

asked why? “Because Toyota's the best brand. They very good in gas, and also Toyota’ parts are

more durable than the other cars. “They replied to me”. They also said these type of cars like: Volvo,

Ford, KIA their parts are cheaper than Toyota's parts, and they give more mechanical problems than Toyota.

By listened to them I bought an old Toyota Corolla, it was old in years, but not in running. It

was a very good car it ran perfect and saved me money in gas as well. I changed my Toyota Corolla into a

Nissan maxima after an accident since it wasn't be able to drive after the accident.

The Nissan maxima was good too, but I could remark a little different by running even the Nissan maxima was five years old younger than the Toyota, but I could feel the Toyota was running better.

Now I'm driving a Nissan pathfinder, it a very good car, in good condition compared to the ages

between the Toyota and the pathfinder, even thou the pathfinder it more recent and stronger I still realize I like Toyota’s better.

I finally realize why they say Toyota is number one between all the Japanese cars brand like

Nissan, Honda etc... And also How the Japanese cars are more recent than the American cars.

After all these experiences with different cars. Whenever I'll buy a new car, it will be one of the Toyota 'brand again.

Haitian Food Culture

As Haitian there’s a lot of thing I like with the Haitian culture. But what I like the most is the New Year.

 Where we have to celebrate two big things New Year and our independence’s day. The reason why I

like these occasion better it because of pumpkin soup. Everybody knows pumpkin we see a lot especially

 for Halloween where they used it to make different thing. I like eating my boil pumpkin and the soup.

Sometimes I don’t wait for New Year to make pumpkin, I have it almost every Sunday.

Every country has their own culture. It can be anything like: Food, music, clothes dance and life

style. It happen some people forget about their culture when they move to another country, but some people are not.

Like for Haitian people, we can’t forget our pumpkin soup; wherever the country we move to.

Even they don’t have this custom we still have to do it this is a way to recognize Haitian people

from your job or anywhere wait for the New Year you all Haitian with their pumpkin soup for lunch.

 Haitian was the first black liberated from slave in January 1804. As you know when you slave

you really private from almost everything; therefore you are not allow to do or eat everything

you want. They all were depend on the slaves’ owner. Having the good food when you slave I

think it almost impossible. Because been in slavery you don’t treat like human being you get treated like animal.

What happen is when Haitian were in slavery the used to make good pumpkin soup for their

owner, but they didn’t allow to eat some.

In January 1^st 1804 they fought for their independence; as they become independent

every food they were private from they decided to eat them. In particularly pumpkin

Soup, was the first and unit thing they have for that day.

For this reason, since 1804 till now Haitian people never celebrate New Year without a bowl of pumpkin soup.

my future life

I have so many things that can get me have a happier future . I know it all depend on me in what I'm doing now and what I’m going to do to make them happen. Among these plans that I have three of them are very important to me. a) my health b) my relationship and my school. With these things I can already see a new life for me without reborn again.

 Almost  everybody think a good life depend on how much money they have or how they will make money for their future. for me, nothing it's more important than having a good health. One thing I know my health it's not depend on me but, on God. As a Christian who believes in God, I know he will keep me healthy to have a better future. I know God help who helps themselves once God sees you have volunteer to do something good he was ready before you to open all the doors.  I have God in all my plans especially my health I know he will keep me away from some diseases that he knows it can affect my future as he saves me now. Because a lot of people that I know who paralyse or have a serious health problem in our conversation they always say to me; "if I wasn't sick I would do this or that" fortunately I'm not one of them and I could be, because I used to be sick before. Not anymore God cured me he keeps me healthy and I know he will keep saving me.

 I always hope to have a good relationship. I prefer to say a good husband, my dream's marry to someone who really  love me, care for me, always ready to be there, for me in whatever of the situation. Not to  be here in a the good time and  forget about me in  bad moment no.. I want my husband to be a real Christian believe in  God and likes to pray as I do. It always good to have  someone with some common points with you. I know it's not easy  but it's not impossible also.  all the time I ask God for a good husband I know he will do it if he can give me a good boyfriend  even we have a long distance relationship but we know each other for a longtime and I know my boyfriend's a good one. I believe that God 's not going to change him  into a bad one in my marriage.

I know a  good life it's not only in the level of your education but it always good to be educated especially  at this time. Where educations play a big role in the society. For me to have a good life I need a good job and to have a good job I should go to school have a master so I can make money to support my  future and my family. I will never forget my family in my plans especially my parents .Because my dream is to become something in my life not anything but something good that can make  my parents so proud of me  even my kids in the future. I know to have my kids look good in my eyes I need to prepare to look good in their eyes first whenever God gives them to me. I don't have any kids yet but I always ask God for two beautiful kids they can be two girls or two boys or one girl one boy however he gives them to me.


   You don't need much to have a good life or a happier life. All you need   it a little  of sacrifice. I want to have a good life I'm ready to sacrifice myself. what I know  the more I sacrifice  for good thing in my life the fastest  it come in into my life.
